The chemosynthetic organisms receive their energy on Mars due to the oxidation of inorganic substances. However, a few billion years ago for unknown reasons, they have ceased to exist and since March is known as the barren red desert.

Thanks to data obtained from the Mars Odyssey satellite, the content of the planet's rocks in thorium and potassium radioactive substances has not been determined. In addition, the number of thorium, uranium and potassium combined was sufficient for the formation of water. But the thing that amazed the researchers – a potentially habitable territory of several kilometers. Due to radiolysis in this area, there would be enough water for the habitat of several million living organisms. For some reason now everything is gone – remains a mystery.

It should be noted that the ufologist Scott Waring, famous at first, mentioned the fact that Mars has had life, but for unknown reasons has ceased to exist. However, according to him, this does not mean that the remains that lived on creatures of the "red planet" can not be found nowadays.
