Opening of a new exhibition at the Oklahoma Aquarium

An island in the South Pacific dominates, but below you find yourself immersed in a world of color and movement.

"For me, the South Pacific fish are the big pencil box, they're all colors, greens, reds, blues, yellows and really weird shapes, you have birds with big beaks." said John Money, deputy director of the Oklahoma Aquarium.

The aquarium had this reef tank since the day of opening, but they have always wanted to do a review. They finally could do it.

"This environment in which we immerse you with tikis, palm trees and Hawaiian music is really going to be something that people have not yet tasted here, it's new," Money said.

Unlike most other shows, where you stand outside to watch, this reef surrounds you to make you feel like you are there.

The tank has about 500 fish that have all had to be moved individually into the tank.

As important as all fish are, lighting maximizes space and all these colorful fish.

"We have a bluer light, and we have flood lights there, the back wall is painted blue, and we have these submerged blue cobalt lights that really make you feel like an endless tank. back wall disappear, "said Money.

Another impressive detail is that all this has been designed and built in-house. This means that it is an exhibition that you will never see an exact copy of anywhere else in the world.
