Several players were filmed in a carpool vehicle, making fun of their own coach and that of their team.

The woes continue in Ottawa, as Senators players were caught mocking a coach and laughing at the inefficiency of the task force meetings in a video published by The Ottawa Citizen this shows the players in what appears to be a carpool vehicle.

Chris Wideman, Matt Duchene, Thomas Chabot, Chris Tierney, Dylan DeMelo and Alex Formenton (who has since been sent to the OHL) were all in the van in Phoenix. According to Citizen, the video was posted on YouTube and Twitter before it was removed. Most of the video is focused on the team's defense issues.

Assistant Coach Martin Raymond was the target of player criticism.

"Marty Raymond, the only NHL history coach to have the worst power play and the worst PK of the calendar year," said Duchene.

Ottawa was the 27th player in the league in percentage of power play in 2017-2018 and the 26th in punishment. The Senators are currently 29th in shoot-out this season.

"Did you notice that when (Raymond) turns the video, if you really pay attention, he never teaches you anything?" Asked Wideman. "He's just commenting on what's going on."

"It's the other thing too. We do not change anything, ever, "says Duchene. "So why do we even have a meeting? I have not paid attention for three weeks."

The video seems to have been taken without the knowledge of the players.

The Senators have had a dramatic year following the resignation of Randy Lee, deputy chief executive, accused of making obscene remarks and rubbing shoulders with a 19-year-old shuttle driver. may. Players Erik Karlsson and Mike Hoffman also made high-profile starts.

The Senators started the season at 4-2-1, but have lost six of their last seven games.
