Bourbon fans are on the alert.
The Alabama ABC Board has announced that eight stores would sell Monday the much sought-after Pappy Van Winkle bourbon range.
Buffalo Trace's Pappy Van Winkle, along with other hard-to-find whiskeys, will be available at select ABC stores starting tomorrow (November 12th) at 9 am. To purchase, customers must own and present a valid Alabama driver's license. Members of the military may use a military identity card, but must have proof of residency in Alabama.
Buyers can only buy one bottle from the first level selection and up to two bottles of the second category.
The stores hosting sales of the Van Winkle line, the Antique Collection and other Buffalo Trace products are:

Store # 53 – 8115 Highway 72 West, Madison AL 35758
Store # 58 – 3232 Galleria Circle, Hoover, AL 35244 (This location is a change from the previous announcement that the sale took place at Store # 98 located at 1425 Montgomery Highway, Suites 161 and 167 in Vestavia Hills, none of the specialty products will be sold at store # 98).

Store # 72 – 8739 East Chase Parkway, Montgomery, AL 36117

None of these products can be retained or put on hold. All products sold first come, first served.
The ultra-rare bourbon comes from the Old Rip Van Winkle Distillery and is produced by Sazerac at its Buffalo Trace Distillery in Frankfort, Kentucky. The distillery publishes about 7,000 crates – or about 84,000 bottles – each year and bourbon lovers are known to camp in stores hoping for a drink.
