Penn State opened to the media the last 10 minutes of Wednesday's practice. As usual, we were there. And now we are here to give you an idea of what happened through our practice pictures. As you know, we are not allowed to show photos that reveal formations or strategy, or images that may highlight an injury to a player that has not been disclosed before.
But there was still a lot to see. Veterans of our slideshows know that if you look closely at the photos, you will get a lot of information. And for non-veterans, well, we'll help you see what you need to see in our legends.
This week we show some of the usual suspects (Trace McSorley, James Franklin, KJ Hamler), take a look at two real first-year students (Pat Freiermuth and Micah Parsons) plays big, shows a player about to return to action (Shane Simmons) and catch an assistant coach who gives the instructions to Parsons just before the young LB plays his big ball.

Number 8 Penn State (4-1, 1-1) will face Michigan (3-2, 1-1) in the Big Ten East match at Beaver Stadium on Saturday (3:30 pm, BTN). This is the reunion week for the Nittany Lions.
