He returns boldly.

On Monday, Patrick Stewart tweeted a photo as work began on his return to the Star Trek universe, where he play again Captain Jean-Luc Picard in a new untitled series for CBS All Access. (Disclosure: CBS is the parent company of CNET.) CBS All Access is the on-demand streaming and digital live broadcast service of the network.

"The trip has begun," tweeted Stewart.

The photo does not reveal spoilers. Stewart dresses casually with what looks like jeans, a white T-shirt and sweater, and holds his glasses in one hand. He sits around a table with staff members, including Michael Chabon, one of the executive producers of the series, author of the Pulitzer Prize.

Last week, Chabon posted a photo of The Klingon Dictionary and the Star Trek Spaceflight timeline on Instagram, writing: "NOTE: As for previous posts, the contents of this timeline photo, or featured characters from # untitledpicardproject. @trekmovie, I'm looking at you

Little has been revealed about the new show, except that it is said that he "will follow the next chapter of Picard's life". There is no title or official date yet, but it looks like the first will be in 2019.
