The unpublished story of the Super Bowl banquettes could, in fact, remain unknown. There are still several people directly involved who do not know all the details.
But during the free agency period that followed, Malcolm Butler remained on the radar of the Patriots. While the Titans cornerback is ready to face his former team, it's interesting to note that New England was still interested in signing a new contract for Butler, sources said.
Butler ended up signing a $ 61.25 million five-year deal in Tennessee, triumphing over the Titans on Texans and Bears.
But the Patriots – despite the events against the Eagles who strangely let Butler watch every sideline – told Butler's agent, Derek Simpson, to contact them if he did not receive an offer to his taste. That said, sources say his work is not in danger. He needs to play better, but the Titans will give him every chance to do it. Butler is better than the alternative.
Similar to what the Patriots thought, the Titans view Butler as a hard worker who flourishes when he eliminates all the clutter and keeps it simple. When he is only worried about his mission, he can blossom. He takes things personally, which can lead to too much thought and is obviously aware of the criticism he receives. They want him to clarify his mind and regain confidence. They want good things to happen to him.
If Bill Belichick and Tom Brady, Patriots coaches, make Butler a target, only time will tell if this will actually happen.
