Be warned that tourists are climbing the elevators at Rockefeller Plaza in New York City: you never know what you'll get when these doors open.
On Thursday night, Jimmy Fallon and Paul McCartney, hosts of the "Tonight Show", proved that it was truer than ever – by parking in front of an elevator entrance and giving surprise to their fans.
But do not think that they were just standing there waving; Fallon and McCartney followed one another at Ping-Pong, doing magic tricks, sitting in chairs in smoking jackets, pipes hanging from their mouths, and even a "Drive My Car" performance.
Many screaming and delighted cries ensue, and a woman even tries to disembark – but she is gently restrained. This is not your floor, ma'am!
"I was thinking when I was small that I was going to marry Paul McCartney," said one tourist later. "It's the closest I've ever had and I'm delighted!"
What's fun is how excited everyone is to get an unexpected glimpse of Fallon … and then hear the volume of the shock soar when McCartney, who is promoting his new album " Egypt Station ", enters the scene.
James Corden has proven that any outing with Paul McCartney is something not to be missed when he rode around Liverpool, the home town of the former Beatle, for "The Late Late Show" in June, but we must admit!
