Payton Summons, Texas girl at the center of a court battle, dies after the court has granted more time to her life

Fort Worth, Texas – CBS Dallas / Fort Worth tells that a 9 year old Texas girl who was in intensive care and who was at the center of a dispute about her care has died. Summon Payton"The heart stopped beating around 8:30 pm Friday, according to his family's lawyer, Justin Moore.

Quoting Summons' parents, Moore said his heart stopped beating on its own. The convocation has not been removed from the vital support.

"Known to everyone as full of determination and fighting, she fought until her heart was free." Moore tweeted,

"After winning a big victory at the court of appeal today, she left us a few hours later and showed us how to fight against probabilities," he added.

The convocation was admitted to the Cook Children's Medical Center on September 25th after a cardiac arrest. The doctors declared the brain convocation hopeless, but her family fought in court, hoping to keep her alive and seek care for her elsewhere.

Earlier Friday, a judge had extended a temporary restraining order in order to keep her alive at least until next Monday.
