Pete Davidson discusses his sobriety (or lack thereof) on "The Howard Stern Show"

At least he's honest, right? Pete Davidson took to Howard Stern's show September 24 to reveal a number of intimate details about himself, including his struggles with sobriety. For those of you who do not know it: SNL star went to rehab in 2016, but was on the wagon-ish – with the exception of marijuana.

"It was not the weed," revealed the 24-year-old. "I was sober for three months at one point and it was like that – it sucks." Pete then explained that smoking grass helps to solve his mental and physical health problems. In 2017, the comedian was diagnosed with borderline personality disorder. In addition to this, he also suffers from a chronic inflammatory bowel disease called Crohn's disease.

"I have Crohn's disease, so it helps more than you can imagine," said Pete to explain why he smoked so often. "There was a time when I could not get out of bed.I had 110 pounds … I also love to smoke grass." Once again, you must love his honesty, right? "I have been smoking grass everyday for 8 years," added Pete.

Despite the fact that Pete only mentioned marijuana during the interview, one would have to imagine that drug addiction is a particularly sensitive topic for his fiancée, Ariana Grande. After all, not only does Ariana's brother, Frankie Grande, suffer from addiction, but his ex-boyfriend Mac Miller has recently passed from an apparent overdose to 26 years old.

According to one of Mac's close friends, Shane Powers, Ariana has contributed to the rapper's sobriety. "She was amazing when he was sobered, she was a man apart," Shane explained. "There could be no one more favorable to his sobriety than Ariana."

It remains to be seen if the singer "God is a woman" is in a situation similar to that of Pete. However, we hope that Ariana's future husband will have everything under control and that their relationship will be happier and healthier than ever … no matter how many times Pete smokes every day.
