Make Kanye 2006 Again.

That was the message of "Saturday Night Live" star Pete Davidson, who had words for Kanye West following the rapper's controversial and politically charged speech after the show ended last week.

"Do you know how much you need to do politics for me to notice? You know how annoying it is," Davidson said during the "Weekend Update" segment.

Following his performance last week, West went to the "Saturday Night Stage" after the cameras stopped running. Videos of his speech later show West addressing various topics, wearing a hat "Make America Great Again".

West hinted that the producers of the series did not want him to wear the MAGA hat on stage. "They intimidated me behind the scenes." They said: "Do not go out with that hat."

Davidson disputed this, even though he noted that West's wife, Kim Kardashian West, would be upset by the hat.

"(West) started by saying that people behind the scenes tried to force him not to wear it, he wore it all week, and no one told him not to wear it," he said. Davidson. "I would have liked to intimidate her, I would have liked to suggest that it might upset people, like your wife, or every black person of all time."

Davidson agreed that West is a "musical genius", just as Joey Chestnut is a "hot dog-eating genius".

"But I do not want to hear Joey Chestnut's opinion about things that are not related to hot dogs," he said.

Davidson, who spoke about his fight against mental illness in the series, urged West to resume his medications: "Take them in. There is no shame in the game of medicine."

"Being mentally ill is not an excuse to act like a fool," Davidson said.

So, how can Kanye repair the damage? Davidson had a solution, pulling a red hat, he did, "Make Kanye 2006 Again".

Even the guest host Awkwafina had a slogan Kayne at his opening number, hitting Kanye's musical performance in the form of a Perrier bottle.

"I was going out dressed like a bottle of water, but apparently someone did it last week," said Awkwafina.

Kanye's answer? Nothing. The rapper deleted his Twitter and Instagram account.
