Peyton Manning about the new season of "Detail" with Kobe Bryant

The former NFL star, Peyton Manning, will join Kobe Bryant's "Detail" show, while the program will expand to the NFL's analysis this fall.

Bryant, who won an Oscar for his animated short "Dear Basketball," describes the NBA's broadcast – broadcast on ESPN +. He will return later in the 2018-19 season for a second series of shows.

Manning will animate, write and share ideas for the football version of "Detail", which will be published by NFL Films. The series of eight episodes will also appear exclusively on ESPN +.

"I've always loved talking about football with passionate coaches, players and fans, and it's at the heart of this show," Manning said in a statement. "I am honored to help extend the details of Kobe to a football audience."

The first episode will air on Thursday and will end Cardinals quarterback Josh Rosen's game against the Vikings on Oct. 14.

In addition to covering the NFL, "Detail" will also unveil a UFC edition in the future.
