Denver Broncos running away Phillip Lindsay was ejected in Sunday's match against the Baltimore Ravens, according to Mike Klis from 9News.

As Lindsay Jones of The Athletic noted after he received the boot, the process of determining ejections in NFL the games have changed:

Lindsay, 24, is battling fellow countryman Royce Freeman for touchdowns in the Denver backfield this season. On Sunday, Lindsay ran 29 times for 178 yards and added three receptions for 35 yards and a score.

His expulsion is a blow to a Denver attack that began Sunday relying heavily on his hasty attack, averaging 157 rushing yards per game. While Lindsay averaged 6.1 yards per run after two games, Freeman had a more modest average of 4.3 yards per run.

Freeman, however, rushed for a touchdown after Lindsay was ejected, however, for the fantastic players who were watching the backfield. Devontae Booker is also an option in the backfield for Denver against Baltimore with Lindsay out of the game.
