PHOENIX, Arizona (KSAZ) – Phoenix Sky Harbor Terminal 4 has been closed for an unattended vehicle, according to Julie Rodriguez, Deputy Director of Aviation at Sky Harbor.
Rodriguez says the vehicle was left near Terminal 4 and that the east side of the terminal evacuated pre-security.
The servants ssy the vehicle is a rental and they are currently looking for renters. A bombsquad investigation of the region.
Travelers should avoid going to Terminal 4 until the situation is resolved.
The airlines involved are: Air Canada, American Airlines, British Airways, Southwest Airlines, Volaris, WestJet and Condor.
Southwest Airlines indicates that 34 incoming and outgoing flights have been canceled and that can be expected from others.
Three of the four security checkpoints are closed.
The Phoenix Sky Train does not get off at Terminal 4.
