Oh baby!
James Bond star Daniel Craig found himself in a different shooting line when Piers Morgan called him on Twitter for using a baby carrier – or what the personality of British television has called "papoose".
"Oh 007 … not you too? !!! #papoose #emasaculatedbond, reads the tweet.
Morgan's commentary sparked a series of responses from people disgusted by his words.
The star of "Captain America", Chris Evans, was part of the retaliation of Morgan, who refused to apologize.
"You really have to be so uncertain of your own masculinity to worry about how another man is carrying his child," Evans wrote. "Any man who is wasting his time quantifying masculinity is terrified inside."
Morgan, who is the father of four children between the ages of 6 and 25, did not back down, but in his response to Evans, he simply said, "Captain America would not wear papoose."
Several other people nodded disapprovingly to Morgan, as did many men who shared pictures of themselves carrying their baby in a baby carrier.
For his part, Morgan – who responded to many criticisms against him – stood up, saying he had no problem with men taking care of their children; he has rather a problem with the concept of baby carrier.
"Honestly, I really can not understand how an adult man in 2018 can believe that portering is an emasculating activity," says author of "Daddy Doin 'Work" and contributor to the team Today 's Parenting, Doyin Richards. "Being a good father is really the most virulent thing that a man can do while alive, and it's easy to see how true that is, given the number of men willing to call him for his ridiculously outdated views on fatherhood.
"Unfortunately for him, this tweet has had the opposite effect of his goal, because men around the world show how proud they are to rock a baby carrier, and let's be realistic: what woman on the planet would like to have a baby with a guy who is so insecure that he believes that carrying is for wet chickens? "
Morgan's anger did not have to come at the expense of Craig, as many other famous dads were spotted with baby carriers, whether it was John Legend or John Stamos, who caught the heat because they were hurting his.
Ryan Reynolds was also in trouble in 2015 when his wife Blake Lively posted a photo on Instagram of him holding his daughter James in a baby carrier. His method for doing so prompted a discussion about how to use one. Suffice to say that Morgan's opinion about it is probably pretty clear.
