A plane crashed and caught fire in the middle of the busy 101 Freeway in southern California on Tuesday, which paralyzed traffic. The accident was reported around 13:50. near the Liberty Canyon Road exit on the north side of the highway at Agoura Hills, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department.
The cause of the accident was not clear. The LAFD rescued the pilot, who was stuck, and stated that there were no other injuries. CBS Los Angeles reported that firefighters had extinguished the flames and that traffic police had blocked traffic in both directions.

Van Nuys Airport said the aircraft involved in Tuesday's crash belonged to the Condor Squadron's vintage flying club.
Officials said the FAA and NTSB would investigate the accident.
