Lawrenceburg, TN (WSMV) – Lawrence County man accused of raping a boy 16 months earlier this month was arrested after being placed on TBI's most wanted list earlier this week week.
Simon Dean Porter, 33, is wanted for aggravated rape of a child. The incident occurred on November 10th.
TBI officials tweeted on Sunday that Porter had been located and captured by law enforcement in Scottsboro, Ala.
The victim is treated in a hospital in Nashville.
Porter lives in Lawrenceburg, but has ties to Giles and White House counties in Tennessee and northern Alabama.
The suspect's mother, Barbara Wright, told WKRN her message to Porter when he was on the run:
"Son, bring yourself to him please. I love you so much my son, I do not want you to be hurt. I do not want anything to happen to you. Do what's right, you know you did not do it, show up, show them you're innocent. "
