Baton Rouge police arrested Dyteon Simpson for the fatal murder of LSU Wayde Sims basketball player.

Simpson, 20, was arrested on Saturday and charged with second degree murder, according to the Baton Rouge Police Department.

Police said Saturday that Simpson had dropped his glasses during an altercation Friday morning involving Sims. The glasses were tested for DNA, helping the police stop Simpson.

Sims, a 20-year-old from Baton Rouge, was shot and wounded during an altercation outside a Subway restaurant, across the street from Southern Football Stadium, at around 1:25 pm Friday. A video obtained by WBRZ shows several men fighting in the street in front of the restaurant. A shot is heard and Sims can be seen falling to the ground before the remaining men flee.
