A Florida teenager died in a fireworks display, while several other people blew their fingers or injured their eyes.
A Tampa police statement said Friday that Joseph King was holding a shooting tube and was trying to launch a mortar when he exploded late Thursday night. He died Friday morning at the Tampa General Hospital from injuries to his chest and hand.
In Cheraw, South Carolina, police said that MC Gallion III died when a firework tube that he held exploded in his hands and was injured in chest Wednesday night.
Other fireworks injuries are reported around the nation after the holidays of July 4
