PHOENIX, Ariz. (KSAZ) – Phoenix police announced that former mayor and congressional candidate, Greg Stanton, had been robbed while leaving a restaurant this year. weekend.

Officers responded to the scene near 12th Avenue and Camelback Road at approximately 8:40 pm Saturday.

Stanton told the police that he had been confronted with a suspect carrying a hatchet-type object. The suspect asked for money and, according to the investigators, Stanton handed over his wallet and escaped. He was not injured.
