PHOENIX, Ariz. (KSAZ) – Phoenix police announced that former mayor and congressional candidate, Greg Stanton, had been robbed while leaving a restaurant this year. weekend.
Officers responded to the scene near 12th Avenue and Camelback Road at approximately 8:40 pm Saturday.
Stanton told the police that he had been confronted with a suspect carrying a hatchet-type object. The suspect asked for money and, according to the investigators, Stanton handed over his wallet and escaped. He was not injured.
The police are looking for the suspect described as a white man aged 35 to 40, with black hair and hair in the face, dressed in jeans and a golden shirt with horizontal stripes white and brown.
