Police search for a man suspected of rape, robbing a woman in her Sunset Park, Brooklyn, apartment

SUNSET PARK, Brooklyn (WABC) –

Police are looking for a wanted man in connection with a rape and robbery at Sunset Park on Friday morning.

The incident was reported in an apartment near 52nd Street and 7th Avenue around 1 am

Police said that the man had knocked on the door of the apartment of the victim and had pioneered a path inside when she opened it. He then forced her to enter her room, showed a gun and raped her, police said Saturday.

When the man demanded money, the victim gave him $ 500 before he tied his arms with a sweater. The victim was released and called the police.

The man is described as being in his 30 and 5 feet 8 inches tall with a medium build. He has tattoos on his left arm and was carrying a messenger bag at the time of the incident.
