REDWOOD CITY – Videos of a 49-year-old woman in Redwood City engaging in sexual activity with a 14-year-old relative have resulted in the prisoner being held prisoner, authorities said.
Dawn Giannini, a substitute teacher who previously taught in Palo Alto and Redwood City, was arrested on October 18 after one of the victim's classmates at Woodside High School viewed the videos on the PornHub website and took them away. reported to the director. Giannini is charged with 24 counts of indictment, including obscene and lascivious acts on a 14 or 15 year old child, forced sexual penetration and incest. She did not introduce a plea.
Prosecutors claim that Giannini had sex with his relative between November 21, 2014 and November 20, 2015, when the victim was 14 years old. District Attorney Steve Wagstaffe said the majority of the alleged crimes had been committed at the family's home in Redwood City and during a trip to Santa Cruz.
Giannini previously worked for the Redwood City School District and St. Elizabeth Seton School in Palo Alto. We did not know immediately where she was teaching at the time of her arrest.
At Giannini's second appearance in Superior Court on Thursday, Justice Richard Dubois granted Public Defender Eric Hove's request to continue to obtain and review the police reports relating to the case.
