Stan Lee had an incredible relationship with his fans. The famous comic book author was a staple at a comic book convention, and only stopped working. "I can not tell you how much I love my fans," said Lee in the clip. "Sometimes, at night, I'm sitting here, and I'm thinking, 'Ah, what's it all about?' And then I get a letter from a fan, or I read something, or I see something, or I remember something, and I realize, it's so lucky to have fans. Fans who really care about you. "
After his death, fans and celebrities paid tribute to the comics legend. And the video tweeted on Wednesday makes it clear that he would have more than appreciated the love.
"There's something, if you think about it, which is wonderful about somebody caring about you – who do you care for – whom you've never met, who can live in another part of the world," he said. "But they care, and you have something in common. And occasionally you contact each other. This business of fans I think is terrific, and I love 'em all. "
