The Kensington Palace announced Sunday that the Duchess of Sussex would reduce her appearances during her first royal tour, a 16-day trek to Australia, Fiji, Tonga and New Zealand.

"After a busy schedule, the duke and the duchess have decided to slightly reduce the program of the duchess for the next few days, before the last week and a half of the tour," said the palace in a statement.

Prince Harry and Duchess Meghan began their Down Under tour on October 16th, visiting thousands of enthusiastic fans, the Sydney Opera House and the Megey and Harry Koala at Taronga Zoo. The royals program has not stopped since, with more than 70 scheduled engagements during their tour.

Their schedule day and night has finally caught up with the future mother, who will give birth to the couple's first child in the spring. The news was announced just as Harry and Meghan arrived in Australia to begin their royal tour.

The Duchess missed an event in Sydney on Saturday, leaving Prince Harry alone at a cycling competition at the Invictus Games. Meghan then joined her husband to attend sailing events and attend a reception hosted by Australian Prime Minister Scott Morrison at lunchtime.

It is unclear whether the Duchess Meghan will participate in a planned trip to Fraser Island on Monday, off the state of Queensland, in northern Australia, with the palace declaration indicating only that "the Duke will continue his commitments on Fraser Island".

The Duke and Duchess were to visit one of the iconic lakes on Fraser Island to learn more about the history, beauty and diversity of the island from elders and park wardens. Another A visit to the beach was also planned to learn the trade of forestry operator, which served as a training base for the Australian special unit Z during the Second World War.

Prince Harry and Duchess Meghan will travel to Fiji and Tonga on Tuesday. They will return to Sydney on Friday night for the final days of the Invictus Games, Harry's original idea and the center of their tour, before ending with a visit to New Zealand.
