President Trump holds his last mid-term gathering in Cape Girardeau, Missouri, just nine hours before the opening of the state election. Trump is looking for Republican candidate Josh Hawley, who is trying to overthrow vulnerable Democratic Senator Claire McCaskill.

This is the 11th meeting of Mr. Trump in six days and his second in Missouri. Mr. Trump won the Missouri in 2016 by almost 20 points.

Rush Limbaugh, from Cape Girardeau, spoke to Mr. Trump. He called it a "night of my life". Fox News host Sean Hannity, who interviewed Mr. Trump on the stage, went on stage and said, "These people at the back are false news".

Hannity said that he did not know he would talk, although the Trump campaign announced Saturday that he would be a "special guest". Hannity had already tweeted "despite the information", he was just doing a show and "will not campaign on stage with the president".

Lee Greenwood, who sings the song "God Bless the U.S.A.", which Mr. Trump usually uses when he comes in, sang.
