Iran's Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif said US policy and decisions face "real opposition" in the world as Washington plans to reimpose sanctions on the country's financial and oil-exporting sectors. l & # 39; Iran.
Zarif made the remarks during an interview with IRNA on Saturday on the sidelines of the 18th meeting of the Council of Foreign Ministers of the Organization of Developing Countries (D-8) in the Mediterranean seaside town of Antalya in Turkey.
"Most countries, with the exception of a few, have begun to oppose the behavior of the United States, particularly with regard to the reimposition of unilateral sanctions," said the top Iranian diplomat. .
The US Treasury Department on Friday announced that all the sanctions lifted under the 2015 Nuclear Energy Agreement, formally known as the Joint Global Action Plan (JCPOA), would be back in effect November 5th.
According to Secretary of the Treasury Steven Mnuchin, 700 sanctions will be on the sanctions list, including those who have received JCPOA relief, as well as more than 300 new names.
The White House also said that it was "the most severe sanctions regime ever imposed" in Tehran. It targets both Iran and the states that trade with it.

In a statement released on Saturday, the Foreign Ministry of the Russian Federation said that Moscow "strongly condemns" the recent "destructive" attempt to impose a new wave of sanctions on Iran, urging Washington to immediately review its pressure policy on sanctions against Tehran.
"If Washington, as it claims, is really interested in negotiations with Tehran, the sanctions pressure policy aimed at reducing Iran's economic and defense potential, as well as undermining the political situation in this country, must be immediately revised, "he added.
In a joint statement released on Friday, France, Germany, Britain and the European Union condemned Washington's new sanctions on the Iranian economy, promising to protect European companies doing business with Tehran.
EU foreign policy chief Federica Mogherini, and E3 foreign and finance ministers expressed "deep regret" at the new US imposition of unilateral sanctions on the EU. Iran and said that the goal of Europe was to "protect Iran economic operators."
