A new series of photos was born from a photo shoot with the Prince of Wales and his family on the occasion of his 70th birthday.

In the photos, we see a softer side of Prince Charles laughing as his youngest grandson, Prince Louis, grabs his face.

The intimate images were released just days after the release of the other images from the same photo shoot showing Meghan Markle and Prince George laughing.

The photo of Louis grabbing Charles's face was in fact off the shelf, but it was decided to publish it, showing how much the future king was satisfied with his family.

Camilla talked about what's an endearing grandfather, Charles.

The Duchess of Cornwall said: "He will kneel and crawl with them for hours. You know how to make funny noises and laugh, and my grandchildren will love it, absolutely love it.

"He reads Harry Potter and he can do all the different voices and I think the kids really appreciate that."

In the first series of photos released last week, Camilla saw a gesture in the background, her arm around Princess Charlotte.

And the Duchess of Cambridge holds baby Prince Louis – who displays a big smile on another photo of the photo shoot.

The rare, informal photo was taken in the Clarence House Garden and was published on the occasion of the 70th anniversary of Prince Charles.

The Prince of Wales celebrated this important anniversary last Wednesday.

He came out in parallel with a more traditional family photo, with George perched on the lap of his proud grandfather for filming.

The images were taken by photographer Chris Jackson in September.

Mr. Jackson said, "I am delighted to have been invited to make these portraits of the Prince of Wales surrounded by his family to celebrate the milestone of his 70th birthday.

"It was especially special to take an informal, laid-back family portrait on an afternoon of entertainment in Clarence House Gardens."
