Prince Harry and Meghan Markle met a very special royal admirer on Tuesday.

On the first day of their royal tour in Australia, while they greeted the loyal supporters of the Sydney Opera House, they met a 98-year-old woman named Daphne Dunne, which Harry had met during his visits in 2015 and 2017 in Australia.

The Duke of Sussex greeted Dunne with a warm hug. She then told him that she had heard the "good news" about Meghan's pregnancy that morning and Harry invited his wife to come in for the two to meet.

Of course, the Duchess of Sussex was happy to be of service. She knelt to meet Dunne and took her hands. She then asked how the royal admirer came out and said that it was "so nice" to meet her. Dunne also congratulated the royal for her pregnancy.

"Thank you!" Answered Meghan. "What an exciting time, yes, I've been so happy."

Dunne said the news was "wonderful" and "exactly what Harry needs".

The prince complimented Dunne on his shoes, noting that his shoes were "very cool". Meghan also said that she had seen the photos of Harry and Dunne from her last two visits and that she was "very kind".

Clearly excited to see the duke, Dunne tenderly stroked Harry's cheek, pushing the future father to let out a slight laugh. She also asked him if he liked his new "do," which the prince had noted had been dyed pink.

"I'm so happy to finally meet you," Meghan added. "I have heard so much about you, good things."

Dunne then says, "I find it wonderful both."

"That's what caught my eye on her," Harry said to his wife, who thanked Dunne for waiting to see them.

Before saying goodbye, Dunne received a kiss on the cheek and gentle pressure from the royal family. She also gave the couple a card, which Meghan called "fantastic".

"And I hope that the next time we see you, we'll have our baby with us," the duchess added as Dunne gently stroked her hair.

The couple certainly had a busy day. Before meeting their dear old friend, they visited the Governor General Sir Peter Cosgrove and Lady Cosgrove at the Admiralty House, where they received a kangaroo plush animal and a tiny pair of Uggs.

"It's our first baby gift!" Meghan, who wore a white dress from the Australian designer Karen GeeI said.

They also visited the Taronga Zoo and attended a dance performance by the Bangarra Dance Company.

The full day marked the first release of Harry and Meghan since the announcement of pregnancy news on Monday. The couple is expecting their first child in the spring of 2019.

The couple will also travel to Fiji, the Kingdom of Tonga and New Zealand throughout their two-week trip.
