Prince Harry snapped a photo of his wife, Meghan, cradling her pregnant belly underneath to a canopy of giant California redwood trees.

Huh? The royal couple is in California?


Kensington Palace Instagram page, but the Duke and Duchess of Sussex are really in New Zealand.

We have a 16-day tour of the South Pacific, they visited the Whakarewarewa Forest in the Rotorua region of New Zealand where a booth of California is an attraction.

The Whakarewarewa is an exotic forest where some 170 non-native tree species were planted as part of a scientific experiment in the 1900s. Many trees died but the redwoods thrived. Now visitors can ride through a series of boardwalks traveling between the red spongy trunks.


Rotura is also known for its lakes, natural hot springs and Māori culture.

Harry and Meghan arrived in New Zealand on Sunday after visiting Australia, Fiji and Tonga. They have been greeted by hundreds of enthusiastic fans.

They visited a kiwi hatchery in the town of Rotorua on Wednesday and learned about the breeding program for the threatened birds, which are considered national icons.
