Holding hands, it's getting royal treatment from Prince Harry and Meghan Markle!

But Wednesday, they presented a brand new form of PDA during a Melbourne release in an excerpt from the Instagram fan account, Meghan_Harry_. While Harry held Meghan by the hand, he reached out his hand in the back to seize it with his other hand, while affectionately stroking his thumb (as he had done during the ceremony of their marriage in the chapel Saint-Georges !).

The couple was shown a mural of Aboriginal art after a very busy meeting with hundreds of admirers crowding the streets, but their attention was never so great.

Harry and Meghan memorablely commemorated the Invictus Games in Toronto in September 2017 (their first public event!). The timing was strong for royal fans as members of the royal family (such as Prince William, Harry's brother, and Kate Middleton) rarely showed their PDA – especially during official releases.

"While Prince Harry and Meghan are holding hands atypical for the Royal Engagement, it's apparently a welcome gesture to show unity and celebrate their engagement period," said PEOPLE, Myka Meier, expert in royal etiquette. "There is no protocol that says they can not show affection during their official commitments, and this gesture makes them accessible to the public."
