Health professionals claim that it is effective in determining cancer, but several tests are needed to cross-check them.
According to the American Cancer Society, 90% of all patients with localized prostate cancer receive surgery, radiation or drug treatment despite the high risk of treatment-related complications. There is also concern that the detection of prostate cancer will lead to over-treatment.
