Public Libraries and YMCAs Offer Free Narcan Kits

Public libraries and the YMCAs of the United States will soon be equipped with a nasal spray that fights the effects of opioid overdoses, reported Time.

Emergent BioSolutions, which completed this month's acquisition of the manufacturer of Narcan Adapt Pharma, will provide a free kit consisting of educational material and two doses of Naxalone Nasal Spray.

They are offered to the 16,568 public libraries and 2,700 YMCAs in the country, according to a statement released Wednesday. He will complete the Narcan in Schools program, in which four free doses of Narcan were offered to every American high school, reported Time.
