The Rehabilitation Division of the Putnam Sanatorium will offer a Tai Chi prevention program for arthritis and gout by the end of September.
Tai Chi is a low-effect remark that involves a series of movements, identified as types, performed in a targeted and progressive formulation mixed with controlled breathing. The study showed that tai chi is effective for arthritis and falls prevention because it improves mobility, balance and leisure.
This program is taught by physiotherapists at the Putnam Sanatorium Heart, accredited by the Tai Chi Institute for Health. Tai Chi is suitable for adults with or without arthritis, rheumatic diseases or musculoskeletal injuries, as well as mild, sensitive and excessive joint involvement and back problems. Participants want to walk independently and apply instructions.
There are 16 periods that will run from 13h to 14h. Wednesdays and Fridays from September 26 to November 16 in the Integrative Health Center of the Science Establishment Suite 114, 670 Stoneleigh Ave. The value of the program is $ 25.
