Oakland Raiders head coach Jon Gruden
If we were wondering if the frustration in the Oakland Raiders' locker room had already reached its climax, we may have to know the answer. After the team suffered another nasty defeat on Sunday, this time against rival Los Angeles Chargers, morale has gone. So much so that the players rang and did not care who was heard.
As Matt Schneidman of Bay Area Press Group revealed, a veteran of the Raiders told another that he had to get the "f *** outta here."
Either the journalists in earshot have heard the veteran talk about his intention to take a reservation for a dinner, or it is incredibly serious. After defeating the Chargers 20-6 in Week 10, the Raiders have gone 1-8 this season and have been up 54-9 in the last two games. It's their fifth straight loss and everyone has been double-digit.

As a result of transactions involving sending Khalil Mack to the Chicago Bears before the season, and then Amari Cooper to the Dallas Cowboys, tensions are high. Veteran Bruce Irvin has been released and it is clear that players are not doing exactly what new head coach Jon Gruden is selling.
Just recently, a member of the Raiders spoke with Vic Tafur (anonymously) of The Athletic and described the Cooper trade as a "coup de grâce".
"Mack's trade was a real stiff blow", another [player] I said. "But Cooper's was like a coup de grace, especially because we just got in the door after we left. We did not want to believe it was going to happen and the coach said we would not trade it. "
There is no sign of improvement in the situation, so it will be interesting to see how the rest of the season unfolds. Gruden obviously wants his own players to come in the door, but he will have to go through the next seven games with the group he has before the process starts.
