CRÊME PHILADELPHIA – The Eagles face tough weather conditions when Carson Wentz return to the Indianapolis Colts on Sunday.
Forecasts near Lincoln Financial Field predict rainy and windy conditions for the Week 3 clash. According to Weather.com, the temperature is expected to hover around 60-62 degrees with constant rain throughout the day at Philadelphia.
Lincoln Financial Field staff removed a tarpaulin covering the field about three hours before kick-off.

This time being likely to have an impact on the game, the two teams will have to adapt to the degraded conditions. Wentz returns from December The ACL and LCL surgeries and a wet field could affect his ability to plant his feet in the turf. Weather conditions could also lead to failures in protection, as rain could impact the grip and leverage of offensive linemen. Wentz has not taken a shot for 10 months and unpredictable circumstances could result in bigger incidents in the pocket.

At the height of the weather, Wentz will be without his best forward, wide receiver and greatest threat against the Colts. Offensive back Jay Ajayi (back) and Darren Sproles (hamstring) were eliminated Friday, while receiver Alshon Jeffery (shoulder) should be inactive for a third consecutive game as he continues to recover from surgery out of season.
The Eagles brought back receiver general Jordan Matthews and running back Josh Adams from the training team to make up for the loss of injuries to their respective positions.
