LOS ANGELES – A wild brawl erupted at the end of the fourth quarter to block LeBron James' home debut with the LA Lakers on Saturday night.

While it remained 4:13 to play, Lakers goalkeepers Rajon Rondo and Chris Paul All-Star of the Houston Rockets exchanged blows as a result of an altercation involving several words of anger and anger of several players from both teams.

The extraordinary scenes were triggered when James Harden completed a breakaway pass and Brandon Ingram committed the foul. Ingram is keenly complaining to the referee and things have escalated quickly.

Paul seemed to hit Rondo in the face, Rondo reacting with a punch at the start of the scrum. Ingram also started beating as James tried to defuse the situation by pushing Paul off the road.

Paul has repeatedly complained that Rondo spat on him, although early attempts did not seem to show such action on the part of the court.

The game was interrupted for several minutes, until the incident dissipated, before Ingram was expelled for two technical fouls, and that Paul and Rondo were also eliminated.

The madness eclipsed the result of the match, which ended in a 124-115 victory for Houston, preventing the Lakers from recovering their calm after the crash. Los Angeles dropped to 0-2, while James scored 24 points.

It was a very kind of Los Angeles night. This city thrives on the power of stars like nowhere else. He likes teams that win and are famous by doing so, but can be content with the latter, if need be.

THE BEGINNING: LeBron, the brightest star among the Lakers

PREDICTIONS: Winners and top teams for the 2018-19 season

This is what will happen this season. The Lakers are not an elite, nor are they particularly close to him, certainly not in the well-stocked Western Conference. Will they be fun to watch? Absolutely.

The Rockets have always had something extra, that little extra trim, the extra hardware, largely derived from the experience of being perfectly familiar with each other.

But Los Angeles's weaknesses will not be due to lack of effort and jostling, and both have been plentiful.

James brought calm, his surrounding parts brought a race and a non-stop intensity. You can see Luke Walton's thinking, if his team has to adapt to playing with James, he could just as easily give the opposition a way to adapt as well. As a result, they run like lightning everywhere and whenever possible, leaving no time for the opposition or the crowd to take a break to catch their breath.

To add to the entertainment, there were also unexpected and ugly scenes at the end. You can say what you like about the Lakers, but the beginning of James' trip to Los Angeles was anything but dull.
