After two and a half seasons in Jacksonville, Dante Fowler is headed by the country.
The defensive end reportedly traded from the Jaguars to the Rams ahead of the NFL trade deadline Tuesday. The No. 3 pick in 2015, Fowler has posted 48 tackles since coming into the league, playing 39 games for Jacksonville, getting into seven during the 2018 season.
With the deal, Fowler goes from the AFC South to the league's top team. The Rams improved on the packers on Sunday, helped by a late-game miscue by Green Bay.
The Rams have excelled on offense, Todd Gurley and his league-leading 800 rushing yards – 181 more than his closest rival, Ezekiel Elliott. Third-year quarterback Jared Goff is among the NFL's top passers with 2.425 passing yards on the season, averaging 9.6 yards per completion. His 17 touchdowns on the season, while giving the Rams the league's top offense.
Defensively, Aaron Donald's 10 sacks are pacing the league in 2018, and adding Fowler to a mix that already includes Ndamukong Suh, Aqib Talib, Marcus Peters, and Mark Barron.
Fowler is the latest name in the world, with wideouts Demaryius Thomas (Texans) and Golden Tate (Eagles) on the move, Ty Montgomery joining the Ravens.
