Rapper ScHoolboy Q delays the release of his album due to the death of Mac Miller

The rapper told fans during a break in a recent show: "I'm not right to release an album.

Rapper ScHoolboy Q announced that he was delaying the release of his new album after the death of his friend and friend rapper Mac Miller from an apparent overdose on Sept. 7, according to XXL.

"Ima is going back, and Ima understands when Ima has released this album, because you're going to have this album. I promise that. I'm just not ready to walk into the radio station and the first thing they ask me is "So Mac Miller …" I'm not ready to answer the questions they have. So, for now, I'm not ready to put anything aside now. I am sorry."

The announcement came about a month after Anthony Top Dawg Entertainment CEO Tiffith announced on Twitter that ScHoolboy Q's next album would be 90% complete. XXL.

ScHoolboy Q released his latest full album Blank Face LP in July 2016.
