NEW YORK (AP) – Well, it's a way to spend money.

New York Jets midfielder Isaiah Crowell was fined $ 13,369 by the NFL on Tuesday for his brutal touchdown in Cleveland.

After scoring against his former team on September 20, Crowell grabbed the football and wiped it against his hind end before sending him back into the stands. He had a viral moment of The 21-17 defeat of New York against Cleveland, who still had no victory, earned Crowell a rebuke from coach Todd Bowles.

"It was inexcusable," Bowles said after the match. "We talked about it and it will never happen again."

Crowell insisted that he was not trying to send a message to the team for which he had played four seasons before signing with the Jets as an agent free in March. He said that he was just having fun, but felt bad about the unsportsmanlike conduct sanction that his celebration entailed.

The news is not all nauseating for Crowell, who has actually signed a promotional contract with Dude Wipes, a company that sells a male toilet paper substitute.

The company and Crowell have both posted social media photos of the wipes storage box.

"Thanks to @dudewipes, I am now covered," wrote Crowell in his Instagram post. "Never leave the house without them."

Crowell was not the only player to be fined heavily.

Brian Poole of Atlanta was docked at $ 20,054 for a tackle and at $ 20,054 for manhandling the smuggler for a total of $ 40,108; and Anthony Barr of Minnesota was fined $ 10,026 for a face mask call and $ 20,054 for a snare device for a total of $ 30,080.

Poole was named for roughing the passer on Drew Brees of New Orleans in the second quarter of the Falcons' 43-37 loss in overtime on September 23. The other fine was imposed for his grounding of Taysom Hill in the fourth quarter.

In the first quarter of Minnesota's 27-6 loss to Buffalo, Barr inflicted a face-mask penalty on Bills running back Chris Ivory and was called for a necklace on horseback against quarterback Josh Allen in the second .
