RECALL ALERT: Recalled pork and chicken products for salmonella and listeria contamination

(AP) – The chicken and pork products of Buddy's Kitchen, Inc. were recalled Friday after discovering that food may be contaminated with Salmonella and Listeria monocytogenes. The company discovered the contamination Tuesday, when it found that the vegetables used in their ready-to-eat products were recalled by the supplier.

The announcement comes from the USDA, claiming that the affected products are sold in stores located in Illinois, Minnesota, Missouri, Georgia, California and New Jersey.

No case of illness related to the consumption of the products has been confirmed.

Symptoms of Salmonella include diarrhea, abdominal cramps, and fever within 12 to 72 hours of eating contaminated food.

The symptoms of Listeria monocytogenes are fever, muscle aches, headache, stiff neck, diarrhea, confusion and loss of balance.

Ready-to-eat pork and chicken products were manufactured at different dates from October 19, 2017 to October 9, 2018. The following products are likely to be recalled:
