Season 1 of The talented We presented viewers with a version of the X-Men that had not yet come to the screen. The power of the young Struckers made it a target and they were finally captured by the Sentinels with Dreamer and Blink after an operation went wrong. Dreamer was killed in captivity by the evil scientist Roderick Campbell (Garret Dillahunt), who experimented with Strucker's children until he found a way to combine the powers of his mutant "Hounds," a wash brain. gained a decisive advantage over the mutants … but that's when the Hellfire Club came into play.
When Mutant Underground found a young blonde telepath named Esme Frost (Skyler Samuels), they thought she was like any other mutant in need. For a moment, these two mutant factions had one common goal: to defeat Campbell and cancel his Hound program. To achieve this goal, the Frost sisters convinced Polaris, still pregnant, that definitive answers were needed to ensure a safer world for her baby. In the last episode of the season, Polaris used his magnetic powers to bring down the plane carrying Campbell and US anti-mutant Senator Montez (David Noroña). Alas, it was too big a break for the other mutants in the stomach, and a split ensues. Polaris and Andy (who were more and more tempted by his powerful potential) sided with the Hellfire Club, while Lauren and Marcos kept the Mutant Underground.
