It was a difficult night for the opening and the attack of the Boston Red Sox.
Drummer Noah Syndergaard defeated the bats and the two forwards conceded six points in as many strokes to Boston's 8-0 loss to New York at Fenway Park on Friday night.
While Syndergaard was dominant on Friday, the Red Sox story was once again their dead point.
The Red Sox Bullpen came into play with the Mets 1-0 and proceeded to the implosion. Robby Scott conceded two points, while Brian Johnson dropped one and Tyler Thornburg was upset for three.

As for Johnson, Cora liked what he saw of the southpaw who gave a point on two hits while eliminating four points in 4 2/3.
"He shot the ball better," said Cora. "When he arrived with the bases loaded, one thing that was different from the previous one, I was like" hey man slow down "… and he did a good job … the ball got better all the way out and it was positive. "
The same can not be said of Scott, who struggled after releasing Cuevas in the third. The left-hander only lasted 1/3 of a game, conceding two runs on a stroke (a three-run homerun) by walking twice and hitting two batters.
"It has been inconsistent throughout the season, even in the spring," said Cora. "I hope we can find something and he can finish the season in strength."
