BOSTON (AP) – Fenway Park's billboards have all been posted "100 WINS" to celebrate the first leg of the Red Sox since Ted Williams returned from World War II.

David Price was already thinking of number 101.

"That's what we've been doing all year," Price said Wednesday night after defeating the Toronto Blue Jays by beating the Toronto Blue Jays by seven innings of three hits. "That's why we have 100 wins right now."

Price (15-6) eliminated seven players for its sixth consecutive decision, after 92 shots with a lead earned when Rafael Devers won a wild pitch by Aaron Sanchez (4-6) in the fifth inning. The Red Sox southpaw is undefeated in 11 starts and is 5-0 with an average of 1.56 in five starts since the all-star break.

Steven Wright took eighth place and Craig Kimbrel had three outs for 39th place, while Boston's magic number to win East Asia fell to seven on the New York Yankees.

"Do not get me wrong, 100 is 100. But we have bigger goals, of course," said Alex Cora, director of the Red Sox. "Today, we have come closer to one of these goals."

One night after becoming the first major league team to win a playoff spot, Boston won for the 10th time in 14 games and scored a high of 54 games over .500 for the first time since Williams team in 1946., Bobby Doerr and Dom DiMaggio went 104-50.

The Red Sox have only to spend 6-10 the rest of the season to break the record of the 105-win franchise, established in 1912. Boston also won 101 games in 1915.

"Someone just told me that it had been done three times here and that the last one was 70 years ago," said first goal Mitch Moreland. "I think it speaks for itself."

BLUE BLUE JAYS: Sanchez allowed three hits and dropped six goals, allowing the match's only race to qualify for the fifth. Devers made the choice of a defensive player and took third place when Brock Holt made a short-term hole in a stroke.

Sanchez doubled a 2-2 throw to Jackie Bradley Jr. in the ground and past receiver Danny Jansen allowed Devers to score.

"I adore Price, I keep in touch with Price until today," said Sanchez, who was Price's teammate in Toronto in 2015. "To go out on the market and do what's right for me." It's a special evening like this one that was fun, it's unfortunate that they scored as they did and we lost the way we did it. "

Toronto dropped to 1-8 at Fenway Park this year and dropped to one season the worst of 15 games below .500.
