REMINDER OF GROUND BEEF: Recall of ground beef nationwide after the outbreak of E. Coli killed 1, plus a dozen sick

WASHINGTON – The US Department of Agriculture has issued a nationwide recall for 132,000 pounds of ground beef products that would be responsible for at least one death and more than a dozen diseases.

Beef has been sold all over the country and can be contaminated with E. coli 026.

The packaging concerned the meat packaged by Cargill Meat Solutions on June 21, 2018 and bearing the EST establishment number. 86R "inside the inspection mark of the USDA.




The recall was made after 17 patients and one death was reported between July 5th and July 25th. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention determined that raw ground beef was the probable source of the disease.
