HOUSTON (KKTV) – Prepared salads sold at Whole Foods and Trader Joe's were recalled due to fears of contamination.

The United States Department of Agriculture announced late this week that the Houston-based GHSW distributor was removing nearly 1,800 pounds of salad products after its own supplier warned that corn in salad had been recalled due to the concerns of Listeria and Salmonella. The salads concerned were produced from October 1 to 18 and had been shipped to six states, including Colorado.

The symptoms of Salmonella are as follows:
