HOUSTON (KKTV) – Prepared salads sold at Whole Foods and Trader Joe's were recalled due to fears of contamination.
The United States Department of Agriculture announced late this week that the Houston-based GHSW distributor was removing nearly 1,800 pounds of salad products after its own supplier warned that corn in salad had been recalled due to the concerns of Listeria and Salmonella. The salads concerned were produced from October 1 to 18 and had been shipped to six states, including Colorado.
The following products are included in the recall:
– 10 oz. plastic trays containing "CHASED CHICKEN SALAD WITH STYLE BBQ WITH 365 CUPS ALL", with the mention "Best if sold by" from 10/18/18 to 10/21/18 (included).
– 8 oz. Plastic bins containing "FAJITA CHICKEN CHICKEN SALAD AT ALL-FOOD MARKET 365" with "Best for Sale by" dates from 10/18/18 to 10/21/18 (included).
– 13 oz plastic bins containing "WHITE CHICKEN SALAD SEASONED AT TRADER JOE'S BBQ BBQ" with "Best By" dates from 18/10/18 to 10/19/18 and 10/20/18.
– 10.7 oz plastic bins containing "FRESH CHOPPED FRESH SALAD CHERRY TRADER JOE & # 39; S WITH GRILLED WHITE CHICKEN" with "Best By" dates of 18/10/18, 19/10/18 and 20/20 / 18.

Customers who have purchased these products are urged to discard them or return them to the store.
The symptoms of Salmonella are as follows:
