WWE upgrades Renee Young to the permanent ad team.
The company has announced that Young will replace Jonathan Coachman as the third person at the table alongside Michael Cole and Corey Graves for Monday Night Raw. Young will be the first woman to announce Raw full time.
It's a gesture that seems to be in preparation for quite some time. Young has joined Cole and Graves for the women's matches in recent weeks and she is part of the Mae Young Classic broadcast team with Cole and Beth Phoenix.
Coachman will change roles and become the new host of launch shows à la carte. The change will allow Coachman to focus more on work outside the WWE (because he missed Raws before calling sports events) while changing a dynamic that was not working. Throughout his return to the stand, Coachman missed the calls and was the target of jokes from Graves.
Young, 32, has been working at WWE since 2012. She began her career with behind-the-scenes interviews and is increasingly present in the fabric of WWE. His role has since expanded to hosting shows on the WWE Network and to pay-per-view launches in addition to interviews.
