Quarterback Tom Brady did not appear to be on the field when the New England Patriots began training Friday, according to reporters.

Brady has not yet missed a practice this season and could still show up for the closed part of the practice.

Replacements Danny Etling and Brian Hoyer were the only quarters available at the start of Friday's session.

Brady, who is knee injured for the first time this year in the injury report, was restricted to training on Wednesday.

NFL Network reported that Brady was injured in the Tennessee loss on Nov. 11.

The Patriots have not announced whether Brady would play Sunday against the New York Jets, but the NFL network has announced that it should begin.
