Report: Eagles' Jay Ajayi has an insurance policy to mitigate the torn ACL shot

9:17 p.m.: Sidney Jones (hamstring) is ruled out for the game after being injured on a punt early in the second quarter. The Eagles ensured the safety of Rasul Douglas and propelled Avonte Maddox to Jones' corner corner.

9:05 p.m.: After a quarter, the Eagles look good.

Carson Wentz first quarter statistics: 7/10, 84 yards, 1 TD, score of 128.8. It's a good start for number 11.

An essential start for the Birds at MetLife Stadium.

8:58 p.m.: After getting an excellent position on the field after a defensive stop, the Eagles marched to score another touchdown. Alshon Jeffery surprised a 17-yard runner. Corey Clement, in his first game after a quad injury, had a tough 14-yard run and a 1-yard touchdown.

In defense, Michael Bennett has absolutely exceeded Nate Solder to be stripped on the line of 1 yard. When he arrived in Philly, he warned the NFC East shifts. He had a sack in his first division match.

Then, DeAndre Carter made a good return on a 23-yard free kick for an excellent field position.

Eagles 14, Giants 3

8:38 p.m.: The Giants scored on the board with a shot on goal, but at least the Eagles' defense managed to hold on once in the red zone. The big game on the drive was a 46-yard run from Saquon Barkely. It's the longest race against the Eagles this year, beating the previous record of 33 with Andrew Luck. Still early in this one.

Eagles 7, Giants 3

8:29 p.m.: The Eagles got the ball in the red zone thanks to an interception of Kamu Grugier-Hill on a tilted ball by Jordan Hicks. It was the first career of KGH INT.

The Eagles scored a touchdown on the 3rd and 7th when Carson Wentz made a great game. He avoided the pressure of Olivier Vernon on his left and rolled to the right. He kept his eyes down and threw his body between the defenders towards Alshon Jeffery at the back of the end zone.

It's probably the best piece we've seen from Wentz so far this season. These are only the elite quarterbacks.

It's still early (it remains 13:15 in the first quarter), but good start for the 11th and the offensive.

Eagles 7, Giants 0

8:02 p.m.: Halapoulivaati Vaitai would be better off being ready to leave. Even though Lane Johnson is tackling a sprained ankle, it's clear he's not at 100%. He was demoted in doubt Thursday morning and then had to test his ankle on the ground.

And then, here is the SMS he sent to Jay Glazer.

If Johnson were to leave the match, Big V would take over, but then it would be worth asking if Jason Peters would last. Peters was injured by a quad and it seems possible that the two tackles do not finish this match.

7:37 p.m.: The Eagles are on the field for the warm ups.

And it's still raining absolutely here, in North Jersey. It does not seem that this rain will soon stop.

6:53 p.m.: Lane Johnson (ankle) is active after being demoted and challenged earlier in the day. This is good news for the Eagles.

6:31 p.m.: The inactive do not go out for 20 minutes, but this is probably a good sign from Lane Johnson, who has an ankle injury. He worked in the field with gaming pants and did that for John Clark.

6:10 p.m.: The rain has slowed down (for the moment) and the tarp is off the ground.

I imagine that Carson Wentz is currently behaving like a caged tiger in the locker room. Normally, he was already in the field since the beginning of his long routine.

5:12 p.m.: After an hour and a half drive on the beautiful New Jersey Turnpike, I arrived at the MetLife stadium. It's raining here in East Rutherford and it does not seem like it's going to stop anytime soon.

Weather forecasts are still abundant in rain and thunderstorms for the rest of the night. Conditions quite soggy for a football match. Time seems to play a role.

12:52: It's a long day before the game finally comes. Maybe we'll have a look at these five games to watch tonight to save time.

10:56: It seems that Lane Johnson is a sprained ankle high, which is tricky. He had only a few days left to recover from Sunday's game. These Thursday night games are absolutely brutal for the players. Humans did not have to play two football games in five days. I would not be surprised if Johnson attends tonight's match; maybe that's wise.

But if Johnson is eliminated, it could lead to a domino effect. Big V will play at the right tackle, but Jason Peters (quad) is also mired. So, if he leaves the game, what do they do? Some call Jordan Mailata, but I do not think he's ready. I think the Eagles are likely to force Isaac Seumalo to attack and allow Stefen Wisniewski to return to the game on the left. If they can make the difference between training, I would place Big V on the left, Seumalo on the right and Wiz on the left guard to try to finish the match. It's a scary thought, though.

9:33: If you are going to the MetLife stadium to watch the match, be sure to bring a rain suit with you. It's raining mostly all day in East Rutherford. Between 8pm and 9pm, there is a 70% chance of precipitation and thunderstorms. Hope that there will be no delay.

Maybe the rain will not hurt the Eagles too much. They won the Colts game after playing most of it in the rain.

9:02: Hello everyone. Great game tonight in North Jersey. It's the Eagles Premier League game in the very winning NFC East.

Some disturbing news this morning, though. Lane Johnson (ankle) was demoted to questionable for the game. If he can not play, expect Halapoulivaati Vaitai to begin. But if Jason Peters can not play the whole game, the line will be completely messed up.
