Report Reveals Whitey Bulger's Murderer Would Be A Massachusetts Gangster Who Hated Cookies

A member of the group found guilty would have been seen as the person behind the evil prison beating to death the infamous Boston gangster, James "Whitey" Bulger.

Bulger, 89, was found unresponsive at around 8:20 am on Tuesday morning at USP Hazelton in Bruceton Mills, West Virginia, where he has been in detention since Monday, the prison office said in a statement. He was recently transferred from a Florida prison and stopped in Oklahoma City before moving to a high security center in West Virginia.

Bulger was attacked by three men in the prison population sector, according to TMZ. One of the men used a lock hidden in a sock as a weapon and the group tried to tear his eyes and cut his tongue, reported the gossip site, citing a source. His death was treated as an alleged homicide.

Although no suspects have been officially identified, the Boston Globe reported that Fotios "Freddy" Geas was considered to be responsible for Bulger's death.

Geas, 51, is serving a life sentence at USP Hazelton since 2015. He was part of the group sentenced for the assassination of the murder of Massachusetts mafia boss, Adolfo "Big Al 'Bruno, and his associate Gary Westerman, in 2003. He was also the victim of the assassination of a union leader in New York the same year, reported Mass Live.

Geas, along with his brother Ty Geas and Arthur "Artie" Nigro, genovese crime hand man, were convicted in 2011. A friend turned informant helped convict the thugs, according to Mass Live. The Geas brothers refused to cooperate with the investigation.

Ted McDonough, a private investigator who was working for Geas, told The Globe that he suspected Geas of killing Bulger and was probably aware that Bulger had worked with the FBI as an informant.

"Freddy hated guys who abused women. Whitey was a rat who killed women. It's probably as simple as that, he said, adding that "Freddy hated rats.

People accustomed to investigating the assassination of Bulger have not disputed the possible role of Geas, reported the Boston Globe. Two other people possibly linked to the murder of Bulger have not been named.

Bulger, who had been on the run for 16 years, was sentenced in 2013 to life imprisonment after being convicted of several crimes, including racketeering and money laundering. The jury believed that he had participated in 11 of the 19 murders.

He was one of the most wanted criminals in the United States until he was captured in Santa Monica, California, in 2011.

The medical examiner said Tuesday that Bulger was dead after "the implementation of rescue measures" and finally proved unsuccessful, announced the release of the Bureau of Prisons.

"The Federal Bureau of Investigation has been notified and an investigation has been opened. No staff or other detainee was injured and the public was never put in danger, "the press release said.
