Report: the doctor borrows $ 300,000; diagnoses a lender with dementia

COLUMBIA, Tennessee (AP) – A report from the Tennessee Department of Health says that a doctor borrowed money from a patient and then diagnosed her with dementia at the request of paying her back.

The Tennessean, quoted by Suellen Lee, reportedly voluntarily withdrew his medical license because his case was without cause. She maintains that the accusations are "all lies".

Government lawyers say Lee, 79, borrowed $ 300,000 from "E.W." when his medical clinic fell on hard times. The records show that Lee later diagnosed dementia in E.W. without using a test method or obtaining a second opinion. The financial company E.W. refused him access to his assets after being informed of the diagnosis.

A psychologist who evaluated E.W. found "no indication of dementia". But Lee has maintained the diagnosis of dementia.

Lee says she was repaying her debt in installments.
